Swiss Cinematographer / Director of Photography based in New York City - Stephan Knuesel

Born and raised in Switzerland where I have worked since 1996 as Cameraman and Editor.
Moved to New York City in 1999.
Worked as ENG cameraman for Fuji TV (NY) and had the chance to shoot a commercial for Japanese Company Asahi.
Worked for 6 years as Director of Photography in independent films in and around New York City.
Masters Degree in Interactive Design from NYU
In 2004 I got involved in documentary projects through the Ukrainian company RadioaktiveFilm, NY and 401Films
later that year I shot the samurai movie ‘blood in the sand’ by Sam Gold and Noah Haidle.
I am currently working on Multimedia Projects with the Magnum Photo Agency and Localprojects, NY and continue to shoot narrative film projects.
